This tattoo removal simulator shows how a tattoo could fade over laser sessions, on your own photo. It is a visual aid for thinking it through, not a prediction: real results depend on the ink, your skin and the treatment.

How to preview removal

  1. Upload a photo of the tattoo in good, even light.
  2. Mark the tattoo. Paint over it with Mark tattoo, a little past its edges. Unmark fixes overspill.
  3. Step through the sessions. Drag Laser sessions and watch the tattoo fade.
  4. Compare and download. Hold the eye button to see today's photo, then Download.

What the preview shows

Each session clears a share of what is left, so early sessions make the biggest visible difference and later ones less. That is a simplification: black ink often clears faster than some colors, and every clinic and skin type is different.

Common problems

  • The marked area looks smudged. Keep the marking tight and use a smaller Brush size near the edges.
  • Nothing changes when I move the slider. Mark the tattoo first. The slider works once there is a marked area.
  • Part of the tattoo still shows at the edge. Paint a little further past the edge with Mark tattoo.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use the tattoo removal simulator?

Upload a photo of the tattoo, then paint over it with Mark tattoo, going a little past its edges. The editor rebuilds the skin underneath from the skin around it. Drag the Laser sessions slider to watch the tattoo fade, hold the eye button to compare with today, and download the preview.

How many laser sessions does tattoo removal take?

It varies a lot with the ink color, how deep and dense it is, your skin and the clinic's laser, so only a clinic can give you a real number after seeing it. This simulator does not estimate it: the sessions slider simply shows each session clearing a share of what is left.

Why does the skin look blurry where I marked?

The marked area is filled in from the skin around it, with a little grain added, so it is smoother than real skin. Keep the marking tight around the tattoo, use a smaller brush near edges, and Unmark any skin you covered by accident to keep the result looking natural.

Can I simulate removing just part of a tattoo?

Yes. Only the area you mark is changed, so you can mark a name in a larger piece and leave the rest. That also helps if you plan a cover-up: download the faded preview and use it in the tattoo simulator to try the new design on top.

Can I undo the marking?

Yes. Undo takes back the last brush stroke, Unmark paints the marking away, and Clear marking starts over. Ctrl or Cmd with Z works on a keyboard too. The sessions slider can be moved as often as you like without marking again.

Is my tattoo photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The removal preview is made entirely in your browser: your photo never leaves your device and is not uploaded, stored or shared. You can check this in your browser's developer tools, where the Network tab shows no upload. It keeps working offline once the page is loaded.
